On Sunday 6th November The Blue Room Returned with the following line up:
Ann Jolly - Travelled all the way from the deep south to read an amazing short story. She is published by Serpent's Tail and Canongate amongst others.
Anne Redmon - Another writer who journed north for the occasion. She is a novelist, and read a mouth watering extract from her latest book In Denial (Maia Press).
Helen Clare - A dazzling poet from Manchester. Her poems having won a number of national prizes. Her latest book of poetry Mollousc is published by Comma Press.
Katy Massey - She was recently involved in the Identity On Tyne readings and gave the Blue Room audience a short but fascinating glimpse into her poetic world.
Bex Mather A musician at the top of her game. Her Songs and her voice were as breathtaking as ever.
There was another Quiz worth £20 and some excellent free nibbles!
There was also a writers' workshop before the main event, from 5:30pm till 7:30pm. When Andy Sherridan , a visual artist involved in producing a series of works on the subject of torchure provided another thought-provoking and stimulating class.
What a night!
