October 2005

October's Blue Room was a packed event. It was a full house, with free quiz and nibbles now firmly entrenched.

Some stimulating readings came from Stockton based Marion Husband , with three short extracts from her new novel, Glaswegian Paul Bodie who read from his novel in progress mugs (delayed from January), Susannah Pickering a young poet from Teeside, and Zoe Brigley a Welsh poet who travelled up all the way from Leamington Spa to read at The October Blue Room.

Celia Bryce and her musicians entertained the Blue Room audience with some lively music. And visual artist Topsy Egret lead a writers' workshop before the main event (from 5.30-7.30pm). The subject of the workshop was Masks , and some fine work was produced as a result.
